Brian Reese is President of Reese Tower Services. Reese has 27 years of experience in the tower industry in various roles involving engineering, inspection, manufacturing, sales, and upper management.  Reese has extensive experience with tubular steel pole structures involving engineering, manufacturing, field modification, and inspections with an emphasis on welding inspections and condition assessments.  He has been involved in the design and fabrication of over 5,000 communications poles and the field modification and inspection of over 1,000 telecom and other structures.  He is a professional engineer in 44 states and the District of Columbia and is also an American Welding Society Certified Weld Inspector.

 

Previously Reese was Vice President and General Manager of ReliaPole Inspection Services’ communications division

specializing in tower and pole inspection, mapping, assessment, and risk mitigation for various industries and clients. 

 

Prior to ReliaPole, Reese was Vice President of Operations of AeroSolutions responsible for managing the company’s

daily operations in the tower modification industry and has been involved with hundreds of structure modifications

for monopoles, self-support towers, and guyed towers for telecom sites throughout North America and internationally

for most major tower owners.

 

In 2005, Reese was a co-inventor of a pole reinforcing arrangement for field modifications for strengthening

communications poles.  From 2006 through 2012, he was active in the TIA-222 Structural Committee which

is the design standard responsible for communications towers as Chairman.  Reese was a contributing member

of ASCE/AWEA’s RP2011 Recommended Practice for Compliance of Large Land-based Wind Turbine Support

Structures released in 2011.  Presently, he is Chairman of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE)

Athletic Field Lighting Structures Standard Committee and holds a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree from

Penn State University.
